The Bolton Bulls wheelchair basketball club provides wheelchair basketball to people of all ages, disabilities and gender from all over the North West of England including Bolton, Bury, Blackburn, Wigan and Stockport.
The Bolton Bulls are a wheelchair basketball club (Registered Charity number 1057350) currently playing within the 3rd division of the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball National League. The club is based at Smithills Sports Centre, Smithills Dean Road, Bolton, BL1 6JS and trains every Thursday Night between 8.30pm and 10.30pm.
Being involved in a sporting activity provides the disabled people of Bolton/Bury and the surrounding areas with access to fitness, support from other individuals that may have knowledge of issues surrounding disabilities and also provides social interaction that is valuable to a person's health and well being. This does not however; preclude the club only to involvement from the disabled community. The Bolton Bulls wheelchair basketball club is open to all irrespective of sex, race, religion, political persuasion or disability who will give active support in promoting sport and recreational activities for a wide range of physical handicaps and age groups. We currently have players ranging from 18-65 years old, both able bodied and disabled.
